I Want to be Miss America’s Mother

When I was a little girl, I used to love to watch the Miss America pageant.

I actually dreamed of one day being Miss America but because I was never able to stay tan, sing opera and the batons that I twirled always hit me in the head, I gave up this dream.

But I never really let it go.

Now that I am older and all my important body parts have gone south, I think my chances of ever competing or winning for that matter are gone so I have shifted my focus.

Thanks to Toddlers and Tiaras, I think that Claire would make a perfect beauty queen.

Claire has plenty of sass and when it suits her can channel her inner diva that will put Whitney Houston  to shame.

Also, she looks really good in a tiara and a fake tan.

All I got to say is look is out pageant world because here we come.

And as for all those pageant moms, I ain’t scared because my hollering and support dancing of my daughter’s routine has been known to make people cry.

  4. Oh yeah – she’s definitely got the look! Right down to the simpering lash flutter, lol!

  5. She is so freakin’ cute but I know you and can read through your sarcasm. You would NEVER subject her to that! Plus during pageant times, you have way better things to do like….drink wine and tweet.

    • Is my sarcasm, really that obvious? 😉

And yes, I have much, much better things to do than be at all those pageants. You know like anything else.

  6. She’s totally a contender. Precious girl!! And I’m guessing she has WAY more brains than some of the other girls, so she’d completely blow ’em out of the water!!! :)

Hmmm, she looks awfully sweet and those T&T children are demons. DEMONS, I tell you. “Pageant-crack”, energy-drink sucking evil.
I may have seen the show once or twice. Ahem.
Also? You don’t qualify as a pageant mom because you have some sort of grip on sanity.
    Sorry to burst your bubble!

  8. You are too funny! She would make the perfect queen with you behind her:-)

  9. What little girl *doesn’t* rock a fake tan?

I used to LOVE watching the pageant when I was a kid. When it was down to the last three I had to leave the room and cover my ears at the suspense of it all.

Just stopping by from SITS to say hello!

  21. She’s adorable!

I wouldn’t mind natural pageants but the ones where makeup is caked on and suggestive dancing is performed by kids under 5 scare me.
