Joy was erupting from everyone, even the mouse.
Presents were open and everyone was glad
But there was one little boy who was a little sad.
“What’s wrong? he was asked by his Mommy dressed in blue.
“Santa forgot to do what he said he would do.”
“Don’t worry,” his Mommy answered him with a hug and squeeze.
“I am sure Santa did not, now dry up those tears, please.”
Away the day flew and it was time to go.
For another house held more joy than the boy could know.
While gathered together what did the boy did hear?
Sleigh bells, of course and he knew that Santa was near.
Then in the room, Santa did appear.
He called the children to come and gather near.
“I found some gifts in the back of my sleigh.”
“I knew you would want these for your tomorrow’s play.”
Smiling brightly the boy took the gift.
“Thank you, Santa,” he said with a sniff.
Packaging flew through the air causing clutter.
But a gasp was all that the boy could utter.
For his eyes they did twinkle and shine with delight.
Santa remembered and everything was going to be all right.
