A Birthday, Its All Fun Until Someone Cries

In this house, there is a complete love affair with Nemo and all things Nemo.

We, well the kids, watch Nemo multiple times a day.
So it was only fitting that the theme of
Quinn, Jake and Claire’s 2nd Birthday be
Nemo.

Including a Nemo cake, made lovingly by Daddy.

It was a HUGE hit!
Especially with Jake, who has the biggest love for all things Nemo.

Not only was it fun to look at but it was also yummy to eat.

But even with all this yummy cake eating going on
there was a little crisis that took place.
You see, sometimes it is very difficult to be the oldest.
Especially when you used to be the one and only and now you are one of four.
It is hard when as the oldest you are used to being the center of attention.
It is hard to watch everyone else open presents, when there are none for you.
It is hard to understand why it can’t just be your birthday today too.

It is so hard that sometimes you just need to cry.
It wasn’t his party but he sure did cry.

But don’t worry everything ended up all good in the end.
Because little 2 year old are not so good at ripping open presents
and need ‘help’ from their big brother.
